(A).Regulations on transfer of people receiving rehabilitation treatment:

1.Application requirements:

(1).The inmate’s grandparents, parents, or spouse is severely ill or handicapped and can’t travel long distances.

(2).The inmate’s parents are of ages 65 and above or children are of ages 12 and below.

(3).The inmate has completed the new inmate investigation.

(4).The inmate’s rehabilitation treatment hasn’t entered the social adjustment period.

(5).The rehabilitation center to be transferred to is in the same area of family members’ residence or nearby.

(6).The inmate has no violation records.

(7).The inmate is not suffering from severe illness, chronic illness or mental disorder.

(8).The inmate doesn’t have other cases under investigation, in trial, or sentences awaiting execution.

2.Required documents: Copy or transcript of household certificate; those severely ill or injured should provide a diagnostic from a local area or larger public hospital; those with handicap should provide documents of proof.

3.Application method: The person receiving rehabilitation treatment should submit an application with the required documents attached to the Center.

(B).Regulations on transfer of inmates serving prison sentence:

1.Application requirements:

(1).The inmate’s grandparents, parents, or spouse is severely ill or handicapped and can’t travel long distances; they should provide a severe illness certificate of the National Health Insurance or a Handicap Manual issued by the government.

(2).The inmate’s parents are of ages 65 and above or children are of ages 12 and below.

(3).The new inmate has served over three months of his sentence here; the inmates skills have been investigated and accepted by the prison to be transferred to; the inmate was transferred from other prisons and has served his sentence here for over a year.

(4).The prison to be transferred to is in the same area of family members’ (those listed in articles 1 and 2) residence.

(5).The inmate has not made any violations in the past year.

(6).The inmate’s remaining sentence exceeds four months.

(7).The inmate’s accumulated treatment has not reached the 1st level.

(8).Will not be denied transfer pursuant to Article 11, Section 1 of the Prison Enforcing Punishment Law.

(9).The inmate doesn’t have other cases under investigation, in trial, or sentences awaiting execution.

2.Required documents: Copy or transcript of household certificate, severe illness certificate of the National Health Insurance, or Handicap Manual issued by the government.

3.Application method: The inmate serving prison sentence should submit an application with the required documents attached to the Center. If an application if filed by an inmate’s spouse or family member, we will transfer the application documents to the inmate for him to make the application.
